Balearic Helicopters can offer an ICAO helicopter pilot the EASA Ground Exams, Flight Training and EASA Flight Testing to obtain an EASA PPL(H).

NOTE TO UK CAA HELICOPTER PILOTS:

Since BREXIT UK licence holders can no longer fly EASA registered helicopters. Many UK pilots mistakenly think the "in accordance with European Union" on their licence means it is an EASA licence...NOT ANYMORE!

Regulations are found in EASA PART FCL ANNEX III

All Balearic Helicopters training is on a one-to-one basis with your instructor. With our fleet of R44's and R66, along with 4 full time instructors you'll never have difficulties with aircraft or pilot availability.

All you will need to bring with you:

  • Logbook
  • ICAO Medical - current
  • ICAO Licence and Ratings - current
  • Passport
  • Results of Theoretical Exams if you have completed any previous ground exams.
  • Conversion Requirements:

  • Pass EASA Ground Exams: Air Law & Human Performance
  • Pass English Language Proficency Assessment (online)
  • Hold more than 100 hours as a pilot (logbook)
  • Hold EASA Class 2 Medical
  • More than 100 hours on R44:
  • Pass EASA PPL (H) Skills Test
  • Less than 100 hours on R44:
  • Complete R44 Type Rating Course
  • Pass EASA PPL (H) Skills Test
